1.    To understand the brief through sales team members or directly from the customers for all new products to be developed in sketch format or in PDF, DXF or 3D file.

2.    To study and carry out feasibility check & prepare design for proposed products within 72 hrs and share with all concerns i.e., sales, MD and customer.

3.    To initiate the manufacturing process of prototype.

4.    To get prototype made wherever required and keep the same as reference at the production floor and freeze quality parameters to avoid any understanding gap.

5.    To ensure that approval of prototype is taken from the customer through sales head or sales team member before forwarding it to production.

6.    After getting the prototype approved from the customer, prepare a document to capture the specifications and to facilitate the repeat order.

7.    To calculate BOM and BOQ at the prototype development stage

8.    To adapt the changes within 24hrs, if proposed by any concern team member.

9.    To explain the design to the concerned team members and update the modifications if proposed by the customer.

10. To ensure that product specifications are being communicated to all concerns.

11. To prepare quotation based on approved drawing/sample and share it with sales head/MD.

12. To receive PO from sales head or sales team member and prepare development drawing to define DFM (Design for Manufacturing) including parts and assembly of design layouts with complete GD&T.

13. To prepare a final list of raw material required for making prototype.

14. To calculate accessories & hardware and share it with store department to ensure availability of material.

15. To prepare purchase sheet for material which are not available in store for timely procurement of material.

16. To provide timely resolution for each difficulty reported during production.

17. To take feedback from dispatch and installation team for difficulties faced by them during installation to upgrade internal processes on monthly basis.

18. To design new products and improve existing products to enhance value proposition for existing customers.

19.  To prepare all drawings using AutoCAD, Solid works.

20. To give brief to all concerns about the product specifications and must guide the production team while making first three – four pieces of product to ensure that production team can yield the same output.

21. To ensure availability of raw material before starting prototype development process.

22. To involve all concerns of production team from the zero stage and educate them to at each stage.

23. To prepare the product cost estimation based on the approved design.

24. To write all specifications and archive all documents for future reference.

25. To take suggestions/feedback from customer, sales team or from production head before pushing the new product for mass production.

26. To handover the process to design head for mass production
